Cecilia Chung counsels clients through all aspects of their marital dissolution action, from initial consultation to settlement and/or trial, and all phases of the process, including pre- and post-judgment actions. Her practice, which includes both family law litigation and negotiated settlements, focuses on high asset dissolution cases, often involving complex financial issues such as venture capital, private equity and other sophisticated business interests, family trusts, real estate, and equity compensation including stock options and RSUs. Incorporating an interdisciplinary approach to each case, Cecilia uses her experience coordinating experts specializing in finance, corporate law, charitable vehicles, tax, and estate planning, as needed, to develop the most effective and efficient path to resolution. Cecilia also has experience managing complex discovery issues.
Cecilia works closely with her clients to understand their specific goals and objectives. She has worked on cases for high-profile individuals while successfully keeping their matter out of the public view. Cecilia has extensive experience counseling clients through pre- and post-marital agreements. She also acts as a consulting attorney for clients in mediation, and has been trained in mediation through The Center for Understanding in Conflict with Gary Friedman.
Cecilia has practiced family law exclusively since 2007 in Silicon Valley and San Francisco. She has participated in continuing education programs as a panelist and volunteers her time in court to assist unrepresented litigants resolve disputes.
Cecilia is married and has two adventurous young children. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family and losing herself in a good book.
