Jane Taylor

Attorney

Jane Taylor has practiced family law exclusively for the past eight years. She is licensed in California and Colorado, where she began her practice. Over the past eight years, Jane’s practice has focused on valuation and division of high net worth estates. She has experience with cases involving professional practices, complex family trusts, venture capital, private equity, equity compensation including stock options and RSUs, retirement assets, and real estate.

Jane has also represented clients in contentious parenting disputes. She has extensive experience crafting parenting plans designed to meet the individual needs of each family. Her cases have included international issues in both dissolution and parenting matters, including identification and valuation of foreign assets, handling international parental kidnapping matters, and preparing comprehensive parenting plans for clients living abroad.

Jane counsels clients through all aspects of the marital dissolution process, including negotiated settlements, mediation, discovery, and litigation. She works closely with clients and their advisors to identify client goals, develop strategy, and ensure the client is informed as to each stage of the process. She has experience structuring comprehensive settlement agreements regarding complex financial aspects of cases, as well as litigating such matters. Jane regularly works with experts specializing in finance, tax, corporate law, and international law to design and implement the best strategy tailored to the needs of each case.

During law school, Jane actively participated in the Family Law Clinic, where she represented clients in a range of family law matters.  In the summer of 2008, she worked at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia where she worked to evaluate policies and procedures utilized by the Tribunal. While abroad, she received certification from the International Institute of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France.

When not working, Jane enjoys skiing, camping, and practicing yoga.
