Gina Cortese

Gina Cortese concentrates her practice on complex family law actions involving complicated business valuation and financial matters, stock option apportionment, real estate, property characterization, and spousal and child support. Gina also has experience handling international family law issues.

Gina has over three years of family law experience, and draws on her previous experiences in civil litigation, business crimes, and corporate law to counsel her clients.  Gina is a strong advocate for her clients.  She regularly represents clients through all phases of litigation, from initial pleadings and discovery to motion practice and trial.  Gina represents clients through the litigation process both before private judges and in public court.

Gina graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law with a certificate in International Law with honors.  During law school, Gina was a Fellow at the Leon and Sylvia Panetta Institute for Public Policy.  Gina also studied abroad in Singapore and completed an externship at DC-Cam, an NGO in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.  She received the CALI-Excellence for the Future Award in Mediation Theory and Practice.

Gina is admitted to practice law in California and Washington, D.C.

When not at work, Gina enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling.
