Belinda Hanson earned her law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1990. She began her career in San Francisco at Hanson Bridgett Marcus Vlahos & Rudy, LLP. Belinda has practiced family law exclusively since 1993 when she joined Hanson, Norris & Rossi, LLP. In 1997, she and her father, Harry A. Hanson, Jr., founded Hanson Family Law Group, LLP, now Hanson Crawford Family Law Group, LLP.
Belinda’s practice focuses on high asset dissolution cases involving complex financial issues such as division of venture capital, hedge fund, and real estate interests. She represents clients through all phases of litigation before private judges and in public courthouses. She also represents clients in collaborative law and is an experienced mediator. Belinda has a hands-on approach that enables her to achieve effective solutions tailored to each client’s unique situation. Belinda is a frequent presenter at family law conferences and seminars.
Other Distinctions
Belinda is a specialist in family law, certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and served as a member of the board of directors and officer of the Northern California Chapter of the AAML. She was President of the Chapter in 2007. In addition to being included in The Best Lawyers in America, Belinda has been listed among the “Top 100 Northern California Lawyers,” and as one of the “Top 50 Northern California Female Super Lawyers” by Northern California Super Lawyers. Most recently, Belinda was named "2010 San Francisco Area Family Lawyer of the Year" by Best Lawyers.
